Move your website to Compera

There are two ways to move a website from another host. Both end with your domain pointing at us.

We move it for you

Order a one-off Website Migration. We move the website’s files and database, help with the DNS changeover, move business email where practical, set up SSL, and check the site and its redirects afterwards. A standard single site is included; complex servers, large mailboxes or custom systems may need a separate quote.

Move it yourself

1. Download the site’s files and export its database from your current host.
2. In cPanel, upload the files to the public_html folder with File Manager or FTP.
3. Create a database and a database user with the Database Wizard, then import your export with phpMyAdmin.
4. Update the site’s configuration with the new database name, user and password. For WordPress, that is wp-config.php.
5. Create your mailboxes again under Email Accounts.
6. Point your domain at Compera.
