RAID 1 writes everything to two NVMe drives at once, so one drive can fail without taking your site down. It is not a backup: a deleted file is deleted on both drives. That is what the off-server JetBackup copies are for.

Opened in 2023 in Coventry. These are facility-wide measures, shared by everyone in the building.

Power
Two grid feeds, three ways to stay on.
Two independent 11 kV grid connections, 2N+1 power distribution to every rack, N+1 UPS, and diesel generators with 72 hours of fuel on site.

Cooling
Closed loop, no water.
A closed-circuit system with dry air coolers keeps the data hall at temperature without using water.

Fire
Found early, put out with gas.
VESDA very-early smoke detection samples the air continuously. IG55 inert-gas suppression puts a fire out without water.

Access
Nobody walks in.
Visits by appointment only, an anti-tailgating airlock, biometric entry, CCTV, and staff on site 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
Network
Continuity House connects to London Docklands and Manchester over diverse routes, so a single cut cable does not take it offline. UK Servers runs its own network (AS42831) and filters attack traffic before it reaches our servers.
